Purposes and objectives
In order to ensure, to monitor and to improve the quality and safety of all processes in the blood donation and transfusion as well as in the whole organisation, different quality steps are established by the management actions that must be adhered to in all departments. These measures are organized by the Quality Management - QM area - in the documents of the hierarchical level I (Quality Manual and procedures recorded), which are checked, approved, released and made available to all employees by the management and the head of the QM department. All departments are required to implement these measures.
The QM department is responsible for monitoring the implementation of these measures and quality steps.
